Brenda Fulkerson, Class of 2004
As Christians, our calling is to allow our scholarship
to extend beyond the bounds of our institution, and even beyond
what has traditionally been the realm of Christian influence, to
the critical front where policy decisions are made. The new challenges
facing our nation and globe will require innovative solutions. The
Center for Applied Domestic and International Policy Studies seeks
to anticipate these needs, develop strategic approaches, and allow
its excellence of scholarship to speak for itself. I am glad to
have had the opportunity this year to serve CADIPS with the creation
of its online journal, The Berean Review. It is our hope that this
journal will provide a central forum for Christian scholars to advance
policy solutions to society’s critical needs.
Jayson Roehl, Class of 1999
Deputy Legislative Assistant, U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental
Affairs
The program at Regent University, and specifically
the Robertson School of Government, allowed me and required me,
actually, to enroll in an internship. The internship that I was
selected for was an internship with the U.S. Department of State.
Working for the Department of State had always been a dream of mine.
And it was a dream come true. I enjoyed that opportunity and I found
it to be of immense value as I began my career working for the U.S.
Senate.
