COMMUNITY

Regent Community – Virginia Beach
The beautiful Virginia Beach campus is designed in Georgian style architecture – red brick buildings, white columns, and large windows. Classes are held in the Classroom building (CRB), the Communication building (COM), and Robertson Hall (RH). The fountain is a focal point on campus, nestled among huge oak, holly, and magnolia trees.

Robertson Hall
Robertson Hall is home to offices of faculty and staff of the Robertson School of Government, the School of Law, and the School of Divinity. Most of RSG’s Virginia Beach classes meet in Robertson Hall.

Regent Library
The library is located next to Robertson Hall. The second floor houses an atrium, auditorium, and prayer chapel. Original art and lithographs by such artists as Norman Rockwell hang throughout the lobby and second floor areas.

Student Center
The Student Center is where you’ll find the University Bookstore, student lounge, the Regent Ordinary, a café-style restaurant, student computer labs, the Registrar’s Office, International Student Services, and Central Financial Aid.

Regent Theatre
The Communication and Performing Arts Center houses the 750 seat theatre and several smaller studios where performances are scheduled seasonally. Students and the Regent Community enjoy discounted tickets to plays, symphonies, and concerts.

Founders Inn
Located at the entrance to Regent is the Founders Inn, a four star hotel offering students, staff, and faculty access to the elegant facilities, including a health club and the Swan Terrace restaurant. Prospective students stay at the Founders Inn for Preview Weekends and may receive discount reservations.

CBN
The Christian Broadcasting Network was founded by Dr. M.G. “Pat” Robertson. CBN was the first Christian television station in our nation. In 1977, CBN expanded to incorporate CBN University, a graduate level institution for Communication and the Arts. Growing to seven schools, the Board of Trustees voted to change the name to Regent University. A “regent” is one who represents a king in his absence. For us at Regent University, a regent is one who represents Christ, our Sovereign, in whatever sphere of life he or she may be called to serve Him. Regent has grown again, housing now 9 schools, and partnered with other colleges and universities to provide options for our students. Visitors can watch tapings of the 700 Club by making reservations. Just call (757) 226-2745 and ask for times, dates and reservations.
