Administration

Dr. DunnDr. Charles W. Dunn, Dean since 2004, has:

  • Held teaching and administrative positions at Florida State University, the University of Illinois, Clemson University and Grove City College;
  • Authored and edited 17 books, including The Enduring Reagan (2009), The Seven Laws of Presidential Leadership (2007), and The Future of Conservatism (2007);
  • Appeared on scores of television and radio shows and in major newspapers, including The O'Reilly Factor, The Today Show, NPR's All Things Considered, New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and International Herald-Tribune;
  • Served as chairman of the United States J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board under Presidents Reagan, Bush 1, and Clinton, enabling him to lecture throughout the world;
  • Presided over the highest enrollments in RSG's nearly 30-year history;
  • Organized Regent's annual Ronald Reagan Symposia, which attract internationally acclaimed scholars to address vital subjects facing America; and
  • Served in senior staff positions in the U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives and a governor.

Dr. DavidMr. James A. Davids, Assistant Dean for Administration, has:

  • Joint appointments in the Schools of Government and Law;
  • Served as immediate past president of the Christian Legal Society, the largest professional organization of Christian attorneys in the U.S.;
  • Served as deputy director and Counsel for the U.S. Department of Justice's Task Force for the Faith-Based & Community Initiative;
  • Served as a founding member of Hoogendoorn, Talbot, Davids, Godfrey, & Milligan, a legal firm in Chicago;
  • Argued cases ranging from medical malpractice, federal regulatory actions, First Amendment rights, and civil rights disputes in his 30+ year legal career;
  • Been licensed to practice law in Illinois, Florida and Virginia;
  • Been granted membership in the federal trial bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois;
  • Also been admitted to the bars of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court; and
  • Is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration at Regent University.
