Stephen F. Knott

Stephen F. Knott has written The Reagan Years, Alexander Hamilton and the Persistence of Myth, and Secret and Sanctioned: Covert Operations and the American Presidency. Forthcoming is At Reagan’s Side: An Oral History of the Man and the President. His books have received such distinctions “A Selection of the History Book Club” and as one of the “Outstanding Academic Books of 1996.” Before coming to the U.S. Naval War College, he served as Co-Director of the Presidential Oral History Project at the University of Virginia’s Miller Center, where he directed the work on Ronald Reagan. He holds the B.A. from Assumption College and the Ph.D. from Boston College.
