Robertson School of Government - Scholarships & Grants

Returning Students

The following are the scholarships and grants offered by RSG:

Trustee Scholarships

  • 75% tuition remission per year
  • Renewable for one year with a 3.90 or higher GPA in RSG

Dean's Scholarships

  • 50% tuition remission per year
  • Renewable for one year with a 3.80 or higher GPA in RSG

Merit Scholarships

  • 33% tuition remission per year
  • Renewable for one year with a 3.70 or higher GPA in RSG

Faculty Honors Scholarships

  • 25% tuition remission per year
  • Renewable for one year with a 3.50 or higher GPA in RSG

Military Grant

  • 25% tuition remission per year for those serving in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, whether active duty, reserves or National Guard
  • Starting in Fall 2011, 25% tuition remission per year for the spouses of those serving in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, whether active duty, reserves or National Guard
  • Must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA to remain eligible

Government/Non-Profit/Public Policy Employee Grant $750 for the year

  • The Government Employee Grant provides a maximum award of $750.00 for the year based on full-time enrollment.
  • Recipients must maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA or better in their RSG coursework to remain eligible for this award. If the minimum GPA is maintained after one year, this award will automatically renew.
  • This award also requires student maintains full-time employment in a local, state, or federal governmental or a qualifying non-profit/public policy organization to maintain this award.

*Full-time: Fall/Spring Semester–9 hours; Summer Semester–6 hours

Providence Award

  • 15% tuition remission per year
  • Must maintain at least a 3.30 GPA to remain eligible
  • Does not automatically renew; requires reapplication each year

Regent Undergrad Award

  • 15% tuition remission per year
  • Must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA to remain eligible

Stewardship Award

  • 10% tuition remission per year
  • Must maintain at least a 3.20 GPA to remain eligible
  • Does not automatically renew; requires reapplication each year
Endowed Scholarships

The Robertson School of Government offers a variety of endowed scholarships. Many of these awards have specific award criteria. All incoming and current students are considered for these awards. No application is necessary for consideration.
