Kindergarten Science Institute

Looking for a high-quality professional development program that goes beyond traditional summer institutes? Are you seeking an experience that reinvigorates your passion for science and teaching? Want science lessons that are tied to the SOL's and are easy to do? If so, the Martinson Center Inquiry Institute (MC ESI) is for you!

This two-part institute will provide kindergarten teachers with experience with hands-on experiments that can be easily replicated in the classroom. These experiments, geared at getting young children engaged in science, have been designed to be easily carried out with kindergarten students. These activities are intended to serve as a spring board for further reading and writing experiences. Participants in this class will receive several children's book titles as well as the materials to conduct all experiments. Come get excited about teaching science! Register Now

Institute participants will receive:

  • Materials for experiments conducted during institute (A $500 value)
  • Lunch each day
  • Print and electronic resource materials for use in Participants' classrooms
  • Institute fee is $40.00 per person
  • Optional: 1 Graduate credit is available through Regent University for reduced tuition ($185/30 licensure points)
