After my children entered school, I soon realized God had called me to teach. As I stepped out on faith to answer the call, he opened doors and directed my path. To God be the glory, I graduated with my bachelor's degree on December 2006—Summa Cum Laude—and received my certification for Special Education K-12. Most recently I was elected the 2014 Teacher of the Year representing the Virginia Beach, Adult Learning Center. God continues to confirm my path.
God has blessed me with the opportunity to pursue the Masters of Education—Individualized Degree Plan as a member of the Regent University family. My desire is to be the best educator that God would have me be, and it is this desire that inspired me to choose Regent University for my graduate studies.
Regent has opened a door to self-discovery and selflessness. My Regent instructors encourage me to operate at a higher level of motivation and others-oriented awareness. In addition, I am made aware of biblical philosophies of education and challenged to apply them in my classroom.
I look forward to what the future holds as I complete my education with Regent. I am certain this is the path God has chosen for me.
