Throughout the academic year Regent's graduate School of Education (SOE) looks for intentional ways of supporting the hard-working teachers and administrators that are in our classrooms, schools and central offices. These incredible men and women are directly affecting the lives of students, and we want to show our support in any way possible. The SOE is proud to provide the following initiatives on an annual basis.
Showing How Much We Care
February is the month of love, and Regent University loves teachers. As a sign of our appreciation for all that they do, we deliver thank you cards and a sweet treat to local schools.
Taking The Opportunity to Show Our Appreciation
The month of May brings SOLs for Virginia teachers, so Regent University looks to show their appreciation for these hard working educators by providing breakfast or lunch for local schools during Teacher Appreciation Week. Learn more>>
Providing Teachers With Much Needed Resources
Each fall, the Graduate School of Education (SOE) reaches out to school divisions across Virginia to support new teachers as they enter their first year of teaching. Through the Adopt-A-Teacher initiative two teachers from each school division receive a generous gift certificate to a teacher supply store.
Teachers, We Salute You!
Each year, Regent University and the School of Education honor local teachers by hosting “Salute to Teachers,” which recognizes Hampton Roads’ top public and private school educators.
