Online Learning - Accreditation

SACS (Regional) Accreditation

Regent University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associates, baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degrees. Contact the Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097 or call 404.679.4500 for questions about the accreditation of Regent University.

ATS Accreditation

In addition, the School of Divinity is fully accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) Commission on Accrediting. We are accredited to offer our Master of Arts and Master of Divinity degrees through Distance Education/Online Learning at the maximum percentage that the ATS accrediting organization allows.

ATS limits online programs to thirty credits (half of the total credits) toward a sixty-credit Master of Arts degree and sixty credits (two-thirds of the total credits) toward a ninety-credit Master of Divinity degree. The remainder of the student's credits are taken during one-week modular courses or weekend courses on the Virginia Beach campus.
