About Charles Holman

HolmanThe Charles Holman Lectures were established to honor the late Charles Holman, professor of New Testament and, in 1982, one of the founding professors of Regent University’s School of Divinity.

Dr. Holman’s was known for his ability to inspire students to think for themselves, to integrate their faith with their academic pursuits, and to pursue learning for the glory of God.

Dr. Holman, who received his Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham, England, in 1982, was known as a gracious and thoughtful man, to whom colleagues and students alike looked for wisdom and guidance.
