The following general policies apply to the Divinity Financial Awards Program. In addition to these general policies, please see the specific eligibility requirements and descriptions pertaining to each individual award.

A Divinity Financial Awards Application must be submitted for each academic year. Current students must submit an application for the upcoming academic year prior to the fall financial aid deadline. New students must apply by the posted deadline for their initial enrollment term.
Awards are valid for one year and expire at the end of the summer term for all students. After expiration, a new application must be submitted for the next academic year.
Divinity scholarships and grants cannot be combined, nor will any individual award exceed 100 percent of a student’s tuition costs.
Financial aid is available for tuition only. The student is responsible for all living expenses, books, and fees. Students who do not appear to meet their basic living expenses will not be considered for financial assistance.
Awards apply only to courses taken within the School of Divinity and not to courses taken in another school at Regent, even in the case of joint degree-seeking students.
For the purposes of financial aid, full-time status is defined as nine semester credit hours of coursework in the fall and spring semesters, and six semester credit hours in the summer semester. Divinity students taking at least six semester credit hours (but less than nine) in the fall and spring semesters and at least three in the summer semester may apply for part-time financial aid status. If a student receiving Divinity Financial Awards drops a course and falls below the minimum required hours for the award, the award will be withdrawn and charged back to the student.
All awards are subject to availability of funds. Regent University reserves the right to adjust, revise, or discontinue aid programs without prior notice.
Financial awards are unavailable for professional development, non-degree, and audit coursework.
Regent University reserves the right to request additional financial information. This may include: IRS tax returns, past/current bank statements, and records of assets/liabilities, etc. Applicants failing to supply requested information may be denied award consideration.
Truthful and accurate disclosure is expected of all Regent University students participating in award programs. Untruthful disclosure is considered an honor code violation. Honor code violations related to financial aid disclosure are registered in the Office of the Dean and the Office of the Provost. Violations may result in the termination of all awards, disciplinary action, and dismissal from the University.
