Electronic Research

Introduction

These pages have been created as a resourch for Ph D students at Regent University, particularly those in Dr. Twelftree's Advanced Research Methodologies (ARM) course. However, it is hoped that putting this material on the website will allow a wider audience to benefit from it. Initially this section of the website on Electronic Research will include four main categories: organization, research, writing, and presentation. Since the main section of Dr. Twelftree's website focuses on related issues such as motivation and content, here we will focus on the technology itself that is available for use in these different areas of academic work.

Attention ARM students: Beginning here, work through these pages, following the "next page" link at the bottom of each page. Under each heading there will be an objective to accomplish before moving on to the next item. If the software is one that you are already familiar with and the objective is something that you have done before, you can skip it and move on to the next topic.
In preparation for the residency, it is important for all students to have a basic understanding of certain pieces of software and elements of technology. The objectives are meant to help you attain at least a working knowledge of the topic.
