Patricia Mercier came to Regent in 2000 with her husband, Ed, to pursue a Master of Divinity. Patricia and Ed graduated in 2003 with their Master of Divinity degrees. Patricia came on board with the Enrollment Services Team in 2003 to assist with admissions and financial aid. Since then she has completed her Doctor of Ministry degree in 2007. Her dissertation is titled, "Training Preteens in their Motivational Gifts at New Life Providence in Virginia Beach, Virginia."
On a personal note, Patricia and Ed had a beautiful daughter, Deborah Marie, born in October of 2003. Deborah Marie died in a tragic accident in the summer of 2007 while Patricia was finishing her doctoral degree. They still grieve the loss of their only daughter, but know that Deborah Marie is currently in heaven rejoicing with Jesus.
