Affiliation & Accreditation
CEI is specifically designed to provide non-accredited religious instruction and theological training in partnership with the local church. It is not designed in any way to be a source of accredited education. As such, CEI does not hold any local, regional, national, or specialty accreditation. It does not grant degrees of any kind, but rather issues certificates of completion.
The use of certificates of completion obtained by successful completion of six CEI classes offer evidence of completion only. Use of the certificate of completion by other institutions in consideration for advanced standing, continuing education units, licensure, and ordination is purely at the discretion of those institutions, and CEI conveys no right or promise in these regards.
Those seeking accredited and degreed education are strongly encouraged to seek information about Regent University’s associate, bachelors, masters or doctoral programs. For this information, contact the School of Divinity’s enrollment specialists by phone at 800.723.6162 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
CEI is operated by the School of Divinity at Regent University, separate from its other accredited degree programs. As such, it is exempt from requirements of state approval and other regional and specialty accreditation requirements. CEI’s programs are not in any way related to the School of Divinity’s other masters or doctoral programs which are regionally accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and also hold a specialty accreditation from the Association of Theological Schools (ATS).
CEI students are enrolled as Regent University students, reflecting a strong affiliation with the School of Divinity and Regent University, but this affiliation does not imply accreditation for the CEI program or its classes.
