Master of Arts

The School of Divinity offers a variety of options within its Master of Arts program to accommodate a diverse group of experienced professionals, academic scholars and others seeking continuing or advanced education through a nationally recognized graduate degree program.

The purpose of the Master of Arts (M.A.) degree is to provide a basic understanding of theological disciplines for further graduate study or for general educational purposes. In theological and ministerial careers, the degree is ideal for those interested in academic and research pursuits leading to academic doctoral work.

Some degree options may be completed in as little as two years and others are well-suited to part-time studies or distance education. Each degree program will vary in the number of total credit hours required. Within most of the master degrees offered through the School of Divinity, students may also select from a broad number of electives and concentrations.
