Doctor of Ministry - Program Overview

The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) is a 36 credit-hour terminal professional degree for ministry specialists. It is appropriate for ministry leaders in diverse leadership settings such as church, parachurch, hospital and military chaplaincy, education, counseling and missions work. The degree builds upon the foundation of a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree by providing opportunities for sharpening critical and reflective thought skills, research and advanced leadership training.

The D.Min. is a blend of academics and practical training. It is an ideal terminal degree for those who wish to be involved in teaching practical ministry in a Bible college, seminary or university setting. It can also provide a transformational experience that provides a means to retool and renew in mid-career, career change or during sabbatical.
