Virginia Beach Campus

The Virginia Beach campus is located within the greater Hampton Roads metroplex, in the southeast corner of Virginia. Located approximately 90-miles south of Richmond, Virginia and just over 3-hours from Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, the area is served by Norfolk International Airport (ORF), a major regional airport serving most airlines and Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF).

Many guests select the Founders Inn when visiting the Virginia Beach campus as the hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the University campus. When making reservations, identify yourself as a "guest or student of the School of Divinity" and request any discounts that may be in effect.

There are also a number of other hotels located a relatively short distance from the campus in the Greenbrier area of Chesapeake, VA which is home to Greenbrier mall and numerous restaurants. Greenbrier is a short 7-minute drive from the campus. Make reservations online for hotels in Chesapeake VA.

Air Travel

Norfolk International Airport (ORF) is approximately nine miles from the Regent University, Virginia Beach campus and serves most major airlines. Information about ground transportation (e.g., car rentals, taxis, shuttle service) as well as area attractions (i.e., tourist information) is available on their site.

Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF) is approximately 33 miles, about 42 minutes, from the Virginia Beach campus. This airport serves AirTran, Delta and US Airways.

Automobile Rental and University Shuttle

Visitors lodging at the Founders Inn are within walking distance of all University buildings and may or may not need a rental car depending upon the individual itinerary. The Virginia Beach area however, affords easy access to the boardwalk and beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, Colonial Williamsburg and abundant shopping and dining opportunities.

For individuals renting a vehicle while in Virginia Beach, a number of Automobile Rental options are available.

The University provides a shuttle service which provides transportation within the Virginia Beach campus and between the campus and Regent Housing, the on-campus apartment complex. See the Shuttle Schedule for a list of stop locations and times.

Virginia Beach and its neighboring cities of Chesapeake and Norfolk offer a broad variety of accommodations, tourist sites, dining and shopping all within a short driving distance of Regent University.

Please note that the cost of hotels and motels generally increase during the summer months due to increased tourism in the region. Arrangements for lodging should be made as far in advance as possible to ensure availability.
