Program Handbooks

Degree Requirements

  1. Attend four personal counseling sessions to determine the student's readiness to function in a counseling role
  2. Participation in the Personal Growth Group lab for one semester
  3. Satisfactory professional development throughout the program
  4. Successful completion of all Competency Based Probes
  5. Maintain a 3.0 grade point average throughout the program
  6. Successful completion of practicum (COUN 523)
  7. Successful completion of two internships
  8. Earn a grade of P or a B or better in all courses
  9. Completion of a background check before beginning practicum
  10. Pass the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination
  11. Successful completion of the Library research course
