Login Instructions - Step Two

Upload/Delete Portfolio Files

Users can easily add and delete files on your Portfolio Web site. Once you have completed this step you will be able to view your portfolio from any computer with Internet access.

  1. Open My Network Places on your desktop or the Control Panel and open Network Connections and My Network Places.

  2. Select your Portfolio Web site. (It will say something like: viwalker on portfolio.regent.edu)

  3. To add files or folders to your portfolio Web site you simply need to drag and drop them into the window. To do this, you can select any file on your desktop, on your hardrive, jump drive or on a CD with your mouse. While holding your left mouse button, drag the file to the open portfolio Web site window.

Selecting Multiple Files - You can select multiple files in a row or list by holding the shift key and selecting files. You can also select several files that are not in order by holding the Control key and selecting the files you want and then dragging them to the window and clicking your mouse to deselect and drop them.

  4. At this point you will be able to view your files much like they were on your computer hard drive. However, there is a big difference. Whatever you put up here, can be accessed by your professors.

Note: You must be on a computer in which you have created a Network Place to add or remove files. It is recommended that you DO NOT create or edit directly on the network, but edit on your desktop, save a copy, and then drag the files to the network window. Always backup your work with additional copies!
