Psychology Professor and Alumna Awarded for Excellence in Practice

Dr. Rosemary Thompson, School of Psychology & Counseling (SPC) alumna
Regent University School of Psychology & Counseling (SPC) alumna Dr. Suzanne A. Waterstruss ('06) was honored for her excellence in counseling with an award from the Hampton Roads Counselors Association (HRCA) in an April meeting at Norfolk State University. Waterstruss was named the 2008-09 HRCA Counselor of the Year. HRCA is a professional organization for counselors in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth and Chesapeake dedicated to meeting the needs of counselors in a variety of work settings through professional development, legislative advocacy, networking and conferences. Many Regent SPC faculty, students and alumni are active HRCA members.
