"Counseling Sexual Minority Clients: Sexual Identity Therapy as an Innovative Paradigm" with Dr. Mark Yarhouse - Sponsored by Chi Sigma Iota, Alpha Omega Lambda Chapter

Distinguished speaker Dr. Mark Yarhouse presented some of his research and findings while working with clients in his prsentation titles "Counseling Sexual Minority Clients: Sexual Identity Therapy as an Innovative Paradigm"on October 30, 2009. Darla Timberlake, a master's student in the SPC counseling program and president of the Alpha Omega Labda Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, writes, "Sexual minority clients are those that are lesbian, gay, or bisexual. Sexual Identity Therapy seeks to aid people in conflict over sexual identity and to integrate and live out a valued sexual identity. Dr. Yarhouse does an amazing job of not focusing on trying to change the person, but how to integrate their values with their sexual identity."
