Review Process for the HSRC Members and Turn Around Time

When the application packet is received by the co-chair, it will be distributed to the designated HSRC members. Upon receiving the application, the committee members have 14 business days to read and make comments on the application. On business day 15, the committee members forward all their comments to the co-chair and the comments will be forwarded to principal investigator.

It is expected that most applications will involve some minor revisions and clarification prior to the committee’s approval. Once the recommendations, revisions and/or clarification is completed to the satisfaction of the review committee, the HSRC co-chair will circulate the HSRC Approval of Research Form to the committee members for their signatures. The completed signed form by the committee members will be mail to the principal investigator and one copy will remain on file with the designated HSRC co-chair.

At the present time, the HSRC has an open submissions process. Proposals are accepted at anytime during the designated business dates for the current academic year of 2007-2008:

August 22, 2007- November 30, 2007

January 7, 2008- June 11, 2008
