faculty and staff of the School of Psychology and Counseling

presence at the SPC Commissioning
Ceremony.

Cost: Free for SPC Graduates and 1 guest.
Additional tickets for guests (adults or children) will
be $10 each. All students, graduates, and guests
(including children) must have a ticket. No one will be
admitted without a ticket.
Registration:
In order for us to plan accurately
for the service and reception, please inform Alyce Bargamin
at alycbar@regent.edu, by
phone at 757-226-4266, or in person; or Mrs. Joyce Harrell
at joychar@regent.edu,
by phone at 757-226-4366, or in person no later than April
25th if you are planning to attend. You
must RSVP if you are planning on attending commissioning
whether you will be bringing guests or not. You will
need to let the ladies know how many people total, including
yourself, will be in attendance. Tickets must be
purchased in advance, no later than April
25th. No
tickets will be available on the day of the event. Contact
either Alyce or Joyce as per information above for payment
instructions.
You may make payment in person to Alyce Bargamin or
Joyce Harrell or mail your payment to 1000 Regent
University Drive, CRB 174, Virginia Beach, VA
23464 to one of these ladies’ attention. Checks
should be made out to Regent University for tickets.
While we always are welcoming to small
children, parents should be advised that the Commissioning
service will require that children be silent for an hour
or more and should judge accordingly as to whether or
not it is appropriate to bring a young child.
professional Photographs:
Individual photos will be taken
of this year’s graduates. Plans will be communicated
in the next couple of weeks. There will be no group photos
taken this year.
Commissioning Video:
We will also be videotaping the
service and reception that day. A DVD will be available
for purchase at the cost of $20 each. Orders
will be placed and payment received on the day of Commissioning
as well. We will notify students when these items
are available. If you request to have this item mailed,
there will be an additional fee of $2.00 required for this
service.
Reminders:
- Be sure to invite your
family and friends to join you in this special time of
worship and commissioning.
- Make
sure you bring your gown (but not your cap) for this service.
- No head wear of any kind (hats,
scarves, large decorative bands or flowers) is permitted.
- All students should wear dark
shoes and ladies should wear natural tone or dark hosiery
(no white hosiery).
- Students are asked
to arrive no later than 1:45pm in order to get dressed
and lined up for the processional.
