2. Am I required to attend full-time or may I go at my own pace?

Full-time is considered 4 courses in the fall and spring, and 2 courses in the summer. Three courses in the fall and spring is full-time for our financial aid purposes. Two courses in the fall and spring are required to be allotted 50% for the year of our School of Psychology and Counseling (SPC) financial aid. A master ' s degree must be completed within five years of the beginning of the masters program.

3. How many hours do you recommend a Master's student work per week?

Due to the number of hours you will be spending in and out of class studying, we suggest you work no more than 20 hours per week. There are a number of part time graduate assistant positions available every semester at the University that allow for flexible schedules. Some Human Services Counseling (HSC) students may be able to work full-time and go to school full-time since it can be completed in one year and it is in a non-traditional format. The on-line option for the HSC also lends itself nicely to full-time study for full-time employees.
