Mark YarhouseMark Yarhouse

Dr. Mark Yarhouse is the Rosemarie Scotti Hughes Endowed Chair of Christian Thought in Mental Health Practice and Professor of Psychology at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is a core faculty member in the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology, teaching Applied Clinical Integration, Family Therapy and Human Sexuality. He is also the director of the Institute for the Study of Sexual Identity at Regent (www.sexualidentityinstitute.org), a research team focused on studying issues of sexual identity. Dr. Yarhouse is co-author of several books, including Ex-Gays? A Longitudinal Study of Religiously Mediated Change in Sexual Orientation and a Christian perspective on psychopathology titled Modern Psychopathologies: A Comprehensive Christian Appraisal. Dr. Yarhouse also keeps a small private practice in the Hampton Roads area, providing individual, couples, and family therapy. He specializes in marriage and family therapy, as well as issues related to sexual and gender identity. He is co-author of three books on homosexuality and sexual identity.
