Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.)

In addition to the prerequisites and items listed above, applicants should have a minimum of 18 hours in undergraduate psychology, with a psychology major preferred. A master's degree is not required.

Applicants will be initially reviewed to determine if they have the prerequisites, minimum grades/GRE scores and other preferred characteristics as determined by the faculty for each incoming cohort. Those students who pass the initial review will be contacted regarding an interview, which is by invitation only and must be completed in person. Interviews take place on the Virginia Beach Campus and occur early in the spring semester. Applications for the Psy.D. program are due by January 15. Applications are considered beyond this date as long as space remains available in the class or until the admissions office determines that admission is closed for the fall. Academic merit-based financial aid is available to those admitted students who qualify. Other than submitting your FAFSA, a seperate financial aid application is not required. Please see the Central Financial Aid website for more aid opportunities.
