Application Deadlines:

Doctoral Programs:

Doctoral program applications must be submitted by January 15th. Students are admitted to these programs for a Fall start term only.

MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (online):
Applicants to the Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, School or Community Programs, are considered for the Fall term only. The priority application deadline is March 1st. The last day applications are considered is July 31st.

MA in Counseling:
Applicants to the Master of Arts in Counseling, School or Community Programs, are considered for the Fall term only. The priority application deadline for a Fall start is March 1st. The last day applications are considered for that term is July 31st.

MA in Human Services Counseling (HSC):
Applicants to the Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling Program (HSC) are considered for the Fall, Spring, or Summer terms. The application deadlines are as follows (priority date is first/last day applications are considered is second):

Fall: March 1 / July 31
Spring: November 1 / December 15
Summer: April 1 / May 1

Late Applications: Applications may be considered beyond the dates listed above as long as space remains available in the class, or until the admissions office determines that admission is closed for the semester.

Note To International Applicants: You may be subject to additional/different deadlines in order to obtain the necessary student visa in time for your desired term of entry. Please review the admissions requirements page for international students if you will be applying as an international student (any student requiring a visa for approved study in the U.S.)

Recommendations: One recommendation must be from a former professor or instructor capable of evaluating your academic preparation for the type of degree you seek to complete with us. If it has been more than five years since your last schooling, a supervisor recommendation may be submitted in lieu of the faculty recommendation. A clergy recommendation must also be submitted. This may come from a minister, priest, or someone else who has the ability to evaluate your spiritual maturity and suitability for graduate study that will include a Christian integration. The third recommendation may be a general reference. Recommendation Forms

Scholarly Writing Sample (for Doctoral applicants only): This can be a paper you have previously submitted for publication or for a class. Topics should relate to the study of psychology or counseling, and all submissions should adhere to APA format guidelines.

Clinical Skills DVD (for PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision applicants only) : This video should give us an example of your counseling skills. You may use a mock session, or provide a taped session with an actual client. Video should be between 10 and 15 minutes in length, and should be submitted on a DVD.
