Human Services Counseling Program - Message from the Director
Human Services Counseling
Our goal at the School of Psychology & Counseling, is to equip you to become a high-quality professional in the field of counseling. For some, this will include preparation for a counseling role that involves licensure. However, many students are drawn to assume counseling roles within their current vocations or specifically within ministry settings. These people-helpers often assume these roles out of a deep care for others, but with little formal training. The HSC program helps to address this, instilling world-class professional attributes in the students that come to us. We also integrate faith and practice into a deeply foundational, well-rounded program.
The program is also extremely practical, with the lessons learned immediately applicable to work, family and ministry settings alike. From a career perspective, the program results in a master's degree suitable for promotion consideration or new employment opportunities for which a master's degree is required. In just ten classes and as little as one year you can complete the degree. The program is also military friendly through its online format and minimal residency requirement. If you mentor others, you are a counselor. Why not pursue a degree that can position you for advancement and help you better serve those already in your care?
If professional counselor training with sound Biblical integration interests you, please contact us. Our staff and faculty are available to help you tailor a program that fits your needs and schedule. In addition, you may contact me directly for questions regarding the program objectives and outcomes.
