Michael Patrick, Dean

Dean Michael PatrickDean Michael Patrick joined Regent University in 2002 after a robust career as a journalist in network television, newspapers, radio, and the Internet. He got an early start with Regent University as one of the first graduate students on campus. Working for organizations such as CBN News and CNN International, he enjoyed opportunities to cover five U.S. presidents and witness many of the vital news events that shaped the end of the past century and the set the course for the new one.

As Dean, one of his goals is to see media and the arts fulfill its original design as a prophetic ministry of truth-telling. While much of media and the arts serve only to shock and entertain us with the worst of human passions, Patrick believes that we must choose to use our God-given talents and abilities differently. Patrick says that we must deliberately choose to communicate stories through media and the arts that will make a lasting redemptive difference in a world that is literally dying to hear and experience the truth.
