Aaron D. Anderson

Aaron’s work history is pretty standard.  He’s a former US Army explosive ordinance specialist with an MFA in Acting, a PhD in Culture, and a triple appointment in a Department of Theatre, a Department of Internal Medicine, and a School of Business. Like most people, he has started three companies that employ 75 people, and lectures and consults around the world for governmental agencies, leadership institutes and Fortune 500 companies. He is internationally certified as a fight director and stage combat teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors, the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat, and Dueling Arts International.  In addition to his choreographic work on film and stage he has taught at universities and theaters across the United States and Europe and is currently Vice Chair of the Department of Theatre at Virginia Commonwealth University (go Rams!).

Paul Burke

Paul is an Instructor with the IDCA Irelands National Stage Combat Society and a qualified Stunt Coordinator with Stunt Register Ireland. He was fight coordinator on multiple episodes on Season 1 and 2 of Fox TV's Sleepy Hollow. Other film and television work includes Hammer of the Gods, Banshee and The Tudors. Paul was Travis Fimmel's stunt double for 3 Seasons of History Channels Vikings. Theatre fight choreography includes the world premieres of Conor MacPherson's The Night Alive at the Donmar Theatre London and Sam Shepard's Ages of the Moon at the National Theatre Of Ireland.

Michael Chin

Michael G. Chin is a professional actor (AEA, AFTRA, SAG) and is a sanctioned Master instructor and choreographer with the Society of American Fight Directors. He is a student of Northern Style, Shaolin Long Fist Kung Fu. Chin serves as fight director in residence for both The White Horse and Pan Asian Rep in NYC. He has taught/choreographed/consulted in the NYC area on Broadway, NYU, The Public and Classical Theatre of Harlem. Nationally he has worked at the Burt Reynolds Institute for Theatre, Brown University, and Yale School of Drama, among others. Chin currently teaches at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, Juilliard, and teaches privately for Fights4, all in New York City.

Fran Clabaugh

Fran Clabaugh began her Hollywood career as an assistant editor at Action International Pictures where she quickly gained an understanding of the art of action editing. Since then she has worked as a full editor on the action feature Little Chicago and the sci-fi action thriller Eyeborgs. She has conducted editing workshops for the Jacksonville Film Festival and is co-owner of Crimson Wolf Productions, an independent production company located in North Carolina. She edited the feature film Nightmare Box, shot in London, England by director Jon Keeyes.

Richard Clabaugh

Richard Clabaugh has been a cinematographer and director on numerous features and worked with such talents as Russell Crowe, Viggo Mortensen, Christopher Walken, Ben Affleck, and Peter O'Toole. He was the director of the feature films, Python, Little Chicago and Eyeborgs. He was an instructor at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Filmmaking for nearly 10-years and currently runs productions companies Crimson Wolf and RedCom Productions producing original motion-picture, television and web content.

Dale Girard

Dale Girard is a certified fight master with the SAFD and Fight Directors Canada (FDC). He is also co-founder of the North Carolina Stuntmen's Association; author of Actors on Guard; and director of stage combat studies for North Carolina School of the Arts. Dale appears in the role of Sankur and served as second unit director and stunt coordinator for the film Eyeborgs. Dale is currently serving as stunt coordinator on Gary Wheeler's The Trial starring Matthew Modine.

Michael Kirkland

Michael Kirkland, MFA, Ph.D., (Coordinator: Virginia Beach BASH) has been an SAFD Certified Teacher since 1992.  He serves as Chairman of the Department of Theatre Arts in the School of Communication and the Arts at Regent University.  His teaching specialties include acting (Meisner), directing, and stage combat. He has taught and designed violence all over the US and UK. In the UK he has guest/team taught at such prestigious institutions as RADA (London), the Birmingham School of Acting (Birmingham), and the MGA Academy of Performing Arts (Edinburgh).  In the US he has staged fights for Houston Grand Opera, Houston Shakespeare Festival, New Stage Theatre, Virginia Musical Theatre, and professional and educational venues across the U.S. He is author of Stage Combat: An Annotated Bibliography (Praeger, 2006) and various articles on stage combat and the history, theory, and criticism of the theatre.

Casey Kaleba

A Certified Teacher with the SAFD, Casey Kaleba has arranged violence for more than 400 professional and academic productions. He has staged fights for regional theatres including the Folger Theatre, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, Round House Theatre, Studio Theatre, Olney Theatre Center, and Signature Theatre. Academic productions include Georgetown, American, Gallaudet, and Catholic Universities along with the University of Maryland in both College Park and Baltimore County. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses for the University of Maryland, George Mason University, Shepherd University, Catholic University, Regent, and Old Dominion University, as well as serving as a regular guest artist for the Shakespeare Theatre and Folger Library. Casey has been a guest for Fight Directors Canada and the Nordic Stagefight Society; an instructor at the Paddy Crean Workshop; and has taught at the Winter Wonderland, Carnage in the Corn, Virginia Beach Bash, and coordinated the Bond vs. Bourne and Martial Arts Intensive workshops. An audition choreographer for Marvel Universe Live, he also appears on the web series Men At Arms: Reforged.  He founded Tooth and Claw Combat Arts.

Scot Mann

Scot J. Mann is an internationally recognized and award winning Fight Director, certified through the Society of American Fight Directors and the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat. He most recently choreographed swordplay, stunts and gunplay for the multi-million dollar production of Pirates Voyage in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He and his wife, Kelly co-choreographed the world premier of Stephen King's original muscial, "Ghost Brothers of Darkling County", directed by Susan Booth at the Alliance Theatre. As a director, he received a Meritorious Achievement Award for his direction of Scapin, by the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival in 2005. Scot is also an internationally recognized and award winning Fight Director, certified through the Society of American Fight Directors and the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat. He has choreographed, performed and coached theatrical violence with such companies as The Steppenwolf Theatre, The Alliance Theatre, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Theatrical Outfit, Georgia Shakespeare Festival, and The North Carolina School of the Arts. He has also served as an instructor for the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat in London, and Stage Combat Deutschland in Freiberg, Germany. As an actor, Scot has appeared with the Georgia Shakespeare Festival, New American Theater, New American Shakespeare Theatre, Atlanta Opera, motion capture talent for digital media, and various voice-over recordings for radio, T.V. and the Internet. Scot appeared as a stunt-player and served as tactical choreographer and gun wrangler for the newly released movie, Eyeborgs, as well as on-set Swordmaster and stunt double for the “Bollywood” epic, Drona. Scot is an alumnus of the MFA/PAT program at The Alabama Shakespeare Festival and holds a BA in Communications and Theatre from Mercer University, where he currently serves as Director of Theatre.

Darrell Rushton

Darrell Rushton is currently an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Frostburg State University.  He has been a Certified Teacher since 2007, a Theatrical Firearms Safety Instructor since 2010, and a SAFD member since his first workshop; the 2000 NSCW.  He has taught stage combat regionally and across the country at the Rumble in the Rockies, Seattle Sockeye, Winter Wonderland Workshop and the NSCW.  He has been Fight Director for numerous productions at Frostburg State, Ball State University (Assistant Professor of Movement and Acting), the Cumberland Theatre, and National Tours with Windwood Theatricals.  Union Member of AEA, AFTRA and SAG, with acting credits in New York, Washington, DC, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Florida and Maryland.

Richard Ryan

Richard is an award winning Fight Director and is currently working as Co-Stunt Coordinator on Season IV of Vikings.

Recent theatre includes Fight Director on LES LIASONS DANGEREUSES and CORIOLANUS at the Donmar Warehouse. Recent Film & TV includes Fight Coordinator and Assistant Stunt Coordinator on Seasons 1, 2 & 3 of VIKINGS, the drama series for the History Channel and FALLEN, which is due for release in 2016.

Other credits include Stunt Coordinator on HAMMER OF THE GODS, BESERK, IRONCLAD, ROLLING THUNDER and FAINTHEART; Fight Coordinator and Assistant Stunt Coordinator on SHERLOCK HOLMES 2:GAME OF SHADOWS, GULLIVER'S TRAVELS, SHERLOCK HOLMES and SOLOMON KANE, Swordmaster on THE EAGLE.

Stunt Performing includes TURN, SLEEPY HOLLOW, VIKINGS, REVOLUTION, TO HAVE & TO HOLD and HOMELAND.

Other film work includes Fight Coordinator on THE DARK KNIGHT (winner SAG Best Stunt Ensemble & Taurus Stunt Award Best Fight) as well as THE GOLDEN COMPASS. Swordmaster on DRONA and THE LAST LEGION (nominated for Taurus Stunt Award). Perhaps his best-known film work is TROY, for which his Achilles vs. Hector fight was nominated for Best Fight in both Taurus World Stunt Award & MTV Film Awards.

Whilst 'Master-at-Arms' to The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art he has accumulated over 300 stage credits and has worked for many major companies such as The Royal Shakespeare Company, the National Theatre of Ireland, Royal National Theatre, Cheek by Jowl, English National Opera, Royal Opera House, York Theatre Royal and Mercury Theatre, Colchester along with various West End shows and National Tours.

Dave White

Dave White is a former hostage rescue/drug raid operator (on point) instructor and police officer for 26 years. He has taught and created programs for many law enforcement and military groups such as seal team 4, army intell, FBI Swat, street officers, police academies to training DSS bodyguards for two U.S. Ambassadors. Dave is also currently providing training for active swat team. After retiring, he took acting lessons and started working on various films. He has worked as a tactical consultant for the Discovery Channel's Spy Tech, Dominion Pictures, and The FBI files. He has worked on many student films at Regent University as well. He was asked to conduct workshops for the Gaity School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland and conducted work shops for Stunt Actors on Vikings and Game of Thrones.

He has worked as choreographer in tactics and gun handling to help actors sell the shot.

Dave is certified in Dt, modified wing chun, Conceal Carry, Baton, Knife, Subgun, weapon retention/takeways, CQB, Hostage rescue, Drug Raids. He has obtained the in SAFD Theatrical Safety Firearms certification. Dave has a Facebook page called "Tactical Film Fighting Academy" and conducts more in-depth workshops for actors and stunt actors in the Hampton Roads area and beyond.
