Purpose

Regent Online Journal of Communication is a refereed electronic journal sponsored by the College of Communication and the Arts at Regent University. ROJC is devoted to scholarly research and discussion of communication theory, research, practice, and policy. Manuscripts reporting original research, methodologies relevant to the study of human communication, critical syntheses of research, and theoretical and philosophical perspectives on communication are welcome. We are especially interested in papers which reflect an integration of faith and a Judeo-Christian world view with the discipline of communication. As an academically sponsored journal, ROJC is committed to providing publishing opportunities for graduate students in communication.

Articles included in the Regent Online Journal of Communication can appear in either of two sections. The first is the blind-reviewed section which highlights several papers with each edition of the journal. The other is the electronic colloquium, "e-quium", section of the journal. This area is reserved for papers that are best served by more timely exposure, and for authors desiring feedback for works-in-progress. We desire an interactive scholarship approach for what has been referred to in the literature as Scholarly Skywriting (Harnad)

Use of the works in ROJC

The works included in ROJC are the property of their authors and are used by permission. Since the rules for use of published electronic documents are still somewhat undefined, we ask that readers apply the same principles of fair-use to the works in this electronic journal that they would to a print journal. These works may be read online, downloaded for personal use, or the URL of a document (from this server) included in another electronic document. The text itself may not be published commercially, edited, or otherwise altered without the permission of the author and ROJC. As with printed materials, care should be taken when excerpting or referencing text to ensure that the views, opinions, and arguments of the author accurately reflect those contained in the original work.
