Invalid and How to Succeed in Business... The Regent Community
price is only $25.00.
The 15th Annual
One-Act Play Competition winning entry is Family Knots by Kahle
McCann, a third year Script and Screenwriting student at Regent.

Turn
on a television, go to the movies, open a magazine, or go online
and you quickly notice that a person does not need a graduate
degree to become a successful actor, journalist, film director,
Internet blogger, or other variant of a media elitist.
A graduate degree can serve as
your passport to a wider range of job advancement opportunities.
Your time here may also shorten your professional learning
curve.
Nonetheless, that does not
sufficiently explain why many of you are attending Regent
University, does it? Our own research suggests that many of your
fellow students are here because they sense a personal calling
of the Lord to be here.
How do we discover the truth
about God’s calling on our lives?
First, it helps to understand
the lies we must confront.
Humanistic philosophies
permeate our culture with variations on the lie that the
successful person is the highly educated and talented
individualist who is able to manipulate others to fulfill that
person’s dreams and ambitions. Our media industries readily
entice us to believe that we are the stars at the center of our
own constellations of influence.
