The Fall season is rolling in. Lots of new people are here and fresh ideas are in the air. I am hopeful that you will seize the moments that the Lord has for you at Comm/Arts this Fall. I also pray that you do not become so overloaded with busyness that you miss out on
relationships with others. We invite you to join us in prayer about many new things happening in the coming months.

The Foreigner
In mid-September, "The Foreigner" plays in the Studio Theater. Ticket sales are brisk for the comedy about Charlie, the newcomer, who poses as a non-English-speaking foreigner to cope with his overwhelming shyness. Stop by the box office to purchase your ticket.

The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe (Website)
We are working with Walden Pictures and Disney to arrange an advance sneak peek at Lion, Witch & the Wardrobe before its worldwide debut on December 9th. Pray that the details fall into place soon.

Travel The Road
(Website)
We are planning for a visit by the producers of "Travel The Road", an evangelical team that goes to remote place around the world to share the Gospel. Pray that details for their visit come together smoothly.

Dr. Cliff Christians (Website)
Cliff Christians to visit our campus this fall. Dr. Christians is widely published, including an exceptional book, Good News: Social Ethics & the Press. He is a professor of journalism and media studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana.

COME TO ISRAEL WITH US
Check out the itinerary for the Israel study trip during modular week in March, 2006, here is a link: View Itinerary >

Many events during the trip are still being planned. The trip costs $2500. including airfare, hotel, transportation, and most meals. Pray for new donors to provide several study grants totaling $25,000., which will enable many students to go on this life-changing journey at reduced costs.

New Design

Mid-September, "The Standard Report" website unveils its new completely redesigned website. Be sure to see it at www.thestandardreport.com.

This week’s Comm/Arts Kickoff Event, including the original production of Martyrs will soon be on-line as streaming video. Watch your email for the link!

Whether your class meets on campus or online, there are many new things coming along. We are glad that you are here to be a part of it.

Shalom,
Michael Patrick
Dean
