Introducing
Crystal Woodall:
Crystal Woodall took a leap of faith last year when she left her
hometown, Hyattsville, Maryland, to attend Regent University.
Her previous jobs and undergrad education at University of
Maryland College Park prepared her for life in finance, but God
revealed a different plan.
With no formal training in news-style writing, Crystal entered
the Regent journalism program feeling intimidated and nervous.
But it didn’t take her, or the rest of the students and faculty,
long to realize that she is a remarkably gifted storyteller.
She admits that reading and writing has always been a passion,
but it wasn’t until Regent that she learned how to utilize some
of the same tools in broadcast scripts as she did in writing
feature stories.
Crystal is a second-year student on the verge of graduating.
Although she has no immediate plans for her career, she hopes to
write feature stories for the 700 Club. Inspired by novelist
Francine Rivers, Crystal also dreams of writing Christian
fiction novels. - Andrea Hicks
