Introducing Carrie Leeper:
Coming from a small private college in Iowa, I have a background in graphic design in both print and web media. I came to Regent for the Journalism program but felt led to cross into Cinema Television because of my artistic vision that I wanted to share.  Since starting in the Directing track I have found great friends to work with and have discovered movie watching has changed a bit.

In studying Cinematography, I have found a real passion that I would love to pursue, God willing, as a career.  The Director of Photography who has inspired me so much by his movies has been Conrad L. Hall.
(American Beauty and Road to Perdition)

In order to support myself, I started to work for the COM school as a GA for web design and editor for this newsletter

"The Inner Stage" a combination of interpretive dance and the reality of a high school girl's choice to reject the judgments of the world, was the first five minute production I had the chance to direct.  The success of the production I attribute to God, the cast, and crew and will be entering the movie in the upcoming Regent Film Festivals.

Peter Engel back on campus!
Our former dean loves Regent and Virginia as a place to visit, but not to live. He is still a West Coast guy! His recent visit to campus to teach the Business of the Business was met with enthusiasm by the students. One student remarked: “there is nothing like hearing from someone about the business who is in the business!” Engel will return to campus to participate in the University preview weekend.
