Regent University School of Communication and the Arts - A Community Built on a Passion for Filmmaking

In 1999, Regent created the first MFA in Script & Screenwriting taught with a Christian worldview.
In 2002, Regent opened a new Communication & Performing Arts Center with two film screening rooms, a professional television studio equipped with a full lighting grid and $500,000 lighting package, several video editing suites and audio post-production suites.
In 2006, Regent launched the first MFA programs in Directing and Producing taught from a Christian perspective.
As of 2012, Regent students have won 300 film awards at the regional, national and international level, including three Student Academy Awards.
In 2012, Regent was recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a university with Top Online Programs.
