Biography
Dr. Olivia McDonald received her Ph.D. (1986) in political science specializing in public policy, comparative politics, comparative public administration, and quantitative analysis from Purdue University; and, M.P.A. and B.A. (1978 and 1977) in public affairs, political science, and philosophy from Indiana University.
Her past appointments include Associate Professor of Public Policy and Quantitative Analysis at Regent University’s School of Government; Senior Public Policy Research Fellow for Joint Forces Staff College, National Defense University; and, Clinical Professor of Applied Public Policy at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh.
Currently, Dr. McDonald is on assignment in the Regent University School of Communication and the Arts. Lecturing internationally while monitoring foreign and domestic risk perception and communication of public policy options, Dr. McDonald enjoys sharing her unique insights.
She is co-author of Public Administration for the 21st Century published by Harcourt, Brace, and Jovanovich, 1998 and author of Acknowledging God in the Decisions of State, 2007.
