What are the computer/Internet requirements?
In order to participate in the distance education program, you need to
- have access to the Internet
- be able to send and receive e-mail
- have access to Microsoft Office software

What is Blackboard?
Blackboard is the online software that Regent uses for all distance education courses. This software has many features, including discussion boards, virtual classrooms, and a digital drop box.

What do I need to do to prepare for distance education?
Obtaining a graduate degree by distance education is convenient and allows you to stay in the same job and location. However, distance education also offers many challenges. You must have a high degree of personal and self-motivation. You must also be prepared to invest a great deal of time and energy into your schoolwork, perhaps even beyond that required of a traditional student. That said, many students and graduates of Regent have been able to overcome the challenges and reap the rewards of earning a degree by distance.
