Dean's Welcome

The School of Communication & the Arts was the first graduate school at Regent University, and I was privileged to be among that early group of students to study on this campus. In that same founding spirit, I welcome you as among the first generation of students who will earn their bachelor degrees here in the School of Communication & the Arts.

The 21st century media landscape has changed dramatically. Industry leaders in communication, media, and the arts are struggling to find their way in the global marketplace and to connect with new emerging communities. We are here to help you prepare to engage these real challenges through proven excellence in your craft, your scholarship, and your calling.

What can you expect from us? From your first day in class, we will engage and challenge you as a scholar, a professional, and an artist. Our goal is to help you prepare intellectually, spiritually, professionally, and artistically to make a real redemptive difference in your world. As Dean, I encourage you to seize every opportunity while you are here. Go beyond your regular classes, get to know your professors, get involved in creative projects with your fellow students, and participate in the extracurricular life of our school.
