About the Candlelight FORUM

The Candlelight Forum is an educational program of Regent University. The event draws together students, alumni, and friends of Regent University from throughout the entertainment industry.

The Candlelight Forum is the tip of the iceberg of an organic movement which appears to be underway to infuse life and non-exploitive creativity in the performing arts. We find that many artists have reached a place in their careers where they want to engage in high-quality, worthwhile projects that encompass a wider audience and leave a lasting, redemptive impact on our world. The Candlelight Forum is an ongoing conversation that serves to foster those purposes.

The overarching intent of The Candlelight Forum is to encourage the development of high-quality, redemptive and positive-value entertainment. Our goal for the evening is to gather like-minded people who are striving to use their talents and craft to make a difference in the lives of others through film, television and other forms of entertainment. The evening also affords an occasion for networking and synergies among those who share common purposes, with the hopes of sparking new ideas, new projects and greater funding opportunities.

We will recognize entertainment professionals—both alumni and industry friends who are involved with the University and its educational projects—whose work exemplifies “lighting a candle rather than cursing the darkness.”  These people will share about their work and highlight some of their past, present and future projects. We hope you can join us!
