Pastor at Christian Growth Center in
Christiansburg, Va. I am the youth
Pastor, lead an adult cell group, and
work with families leading outreaches
to the community such as "The Breakfast
Ball" which provided a good meal every
Sat. morning throughout the summer to
needy kids; with breakfast food sent
home to last the week. I also lead a
troupe of Christian clowns. The Regent
Community may remember "The Clown of
God" theatre production, 3 (or 4 years
ago), which we are presenting this
season in our church and taking it out
to other venues such as "The Montgomery
County Christmas Kitchen" on Christmas
Eve and to local Christian Schools. |

Adrian
Schoonmaker ('00): I married my wife,
Jocelyn, on Nov. 28, 2003. Less than a
year later, we gave birth to our first
son, Lukas Connor Schoonmaker (7 lbs 3
oz ... 21" long), at DePaul Medical
Center in Norfolk. He is now almost 3
months old, and we're loving him. Joyce
is a full-time mom and wife, as well as
a soon-to-be-student, and pastoring
with me at Freedom City Student
Ministries in Virginia Beach. I love my
full-time pastoring work, directing the
student ministries for Middle School,
High School, and Young Adults. We work
with ages 11-29 in an intense
discipleship model with the goal of
raising up generations of
self-starting, reproducing student
leaders. We currently have 50-60

36 students committed in discipleship
relationships; and 10 young people in
student leadership, each pastoring
their own cell group. |
