Dr. Michael Ray Smith has recently
released his fourth book, which
gives advice to hopeful writers on how
to get feature articles published. Dr.
Smith's book gives the lowdown on
everything from interviews to ethics.

Gabrielle
(Bush) Cuan (’99) and her husband Oscar
Cuan (’01) live in Orlando, FL. She is
an adjunct Communication professor at
Valencia Community College and at
Belhaven College. Oscar was just hired
as a tenure-track faculty member,
teaching Speech at Valencia Community
College.
Marsha
Staples (’99): Right now I'm
working in the Advancement
Department of Regent as Advancement
Services Coordinator. I've been here
since November 16, 2004. I also
teach Worship Arts at the Alpha
Christian Academy in Chesapeake, VA.
I continue to teach classes and
workshops in the Worship Arts for
JUDAH! Creative Worship Arts, a
ministry I founded in 1992. I'm also
the Worship and Arts Director for my
church, New Dominion Fellowship in
Chesapeake, VA.
Brian Wasson (Jrn '99): Hi from
the Philadelphia area. My wife Ginny
and I are excited to announce our new
son Matthew, born Nov. 29. Since he
is our first child, we've got a lot
of learning to do! Photos are online

parents...). I work as a senior
communications associate for the
American College of Physicians (the
second-largest medical society in the
USA) in Philadelphia, which allows me
to use my journalism training from
