Charles Martin (’96): Charles's
debut novel, The Dead Don't Dance, has
received shining reviews and has been
looked at by Hallmark as a possible
Hallmark Hall of Fame film. The Dead
Don't Dance follows the story of Dylan
and Maggie Styles. It begins by telling
of Dylan's love for his wife and how
his world is shattered they day Maggie
delivers their stillborn son and slips
into a coma. Dylan is deeply affected
by these events but refuses to give up
the hope of Maggie's recovery. Despite
his grief, as Dylan waits for a change
in Maggie's condition, he is able to
offer hope to others. These tragic
events help Dylan look inward and
reflect on his life and realize his
spirituality.
