James
Duncan (’93): I am still
teaching journalism at Anderson
College. In terms of news, I was
granted tenure here this year. In
the small-world category, I've also
had three or four students take a
semester at the Focus on the Family
Institute where they've taken
courses with Cliff Kelly, my former
RU advisor.
Yvette Henríquez ('93): I'm a
conference interpreter and translator,
and I'm also teaching at two
universities here in El Salvador. At
one of the universities I'm a professor
for one of their master's programs, and
at the other I teach a
pre-specialization course on
Interpretation.
Patty (Richardson) Silverman (’93): I
am in my 5th year of teaching public
relations and communications classes at
Lee University, located in Cleveland,
Tennessee. I am currently working on my
Ph.D. in Communication from the
University of Tennessee, Knoxville. My
biggest news is that my husband (Steve)
and I are in the process of adopting
our first child – a 13-year-old named
Bethany. She has been living with us
for 4 months now. (Some history – after
Regent, I worked at CBN in Public
Relations for 5 ½ years and met my
husband Steve there who worked in
Videotape Dept. I worked as Director of
Public Relations and Pat’s
spokesperson. We moved here to
Tennessee summer of 2000 and love it).
