Graduating year - 1980

|
Laura
E. Battle, Col, USAF (Journalism '80):
After law school, 1984, I was
commissioned a Judge Advocate, promoted
to the rank of Colonel in 2003, and
currently serve as the Staff Judge
Advocate for Lackland Air Force Base,
Texas. |

|
Jim
and Nancy (Pickerill) Pennington ('80):
Jim and Nancy spent the past eight
years planting and pastoring a local
church. They recently resigned that
position to be more involved in
international ministry. Much of what
the couple does involves leadership
development for the church in
restricted access nations. Their
primary focus is the persecuted church
in the nations of Asia. |

Glenn
Corillo (’80): Glenn teaches
several communication courses in the
School of Arts and Sciences at ECPI
College of Technology in Virginia
Beach. The school was recently approved
to offer a B.S. degree in Computer
Science. Glenn's background as a news
anchor gives him an advantage in the
classroom, especially in teaching the
Public Speaking course. |

Lynne (LaBash)
Bramlett (’80): I have a new job that I
started in September - Director of
Sunday Children's Ministries Central
Baptist Church, Trenton New Jersey.
I've been involved in the education
field for many years. |

Cheryl
Thomas (’80): I am currently employed
at CBN News, where I have been working
nearly a year as the editor/writer for
cbn.com. When I heard about the
position from a CBN friend a year and a
half ago, I was convinced in my spirit
that it was God's next step for me. I
made plans - despite my mental 'better
judgment' - as if I had the job, even
months before I was called for an
interview. Prior to CBN, I worked from
home for two and a half years
telecommuting for the American
Psychological Assn. (Web site) in
Washington, D.C. I wrote instructions
to help users navigate the site, and
also wrote help manuals for their
products. Prior to that, I worked at
christianity.com as a news editor. |

Suzie
(Ward) Thomas (’80): I am still at
Malone College -- now in my 15th year
of serving as
director
of College Communications. I also start
my day at our area's Christian radio
station, co-hosting the morning show
(95.9 The Light) each morning. The
"radio thing" was just going to be for
a lark, but has been going on for
nearly four years now! My husband Jim
and I are now empty nesters, with both
of our boys living on campus at Malone
College. Seth is a senior and will soon
be leaving for the Las Angeles Film
Studies program; Jake is a sophomore. |
