Sundance Film Festival January 20-27, 2013

We are no longer accepting applications for the 2013 Sundance trip.

The School of Communication & the Arts' study program at the Sundance Film Festival gives you a backstage pass to the independent film industry. Join Dr. Marc Newman for a unique, one-week graduate course in Park City, Utah.

Adjunct Professor

Dr. Marc Newman will teach the graduate course at Sundance. He teaches the philosophy of communication and historical-critical methodology for Regent University's School of Communication and the Arts. Dr. Newman has been featured in Time magazine and appeared on the O'Reilly Factor and is the author of A Rhetorical Analysis of Popular American Film. He heads a weekly radio show on meaning in the movies and also writes on the intersection of faith, film and culture for The Christian Post, Catholic Exchange and dozens of other websites. Dr. Newman is the president of MovieMinistry.com.

Park City, located within 30 minutes of the Salt Lake City airport, is home to superior powder skiing and a lively historic main street. But in January, visitors flock to Park City for the world-famous Sundance Film Festival.

 

Application & Deposit

The application and deposit deadline is October 1, 2012 (see all important dates). You must submit an online application & pay a $350 nonrefundable deposit to Margie Ackerman by October 1, 2012.
