Regent University ranks among the top 10 online educational institutions in the world, according to a study by Online Education Database (OEDb). In their annual quantitative study, OEDb ranked Regent 3rd for Scholarly Citations, 6th for Peer Web Citations and 7th for Overall Online School.

Data examined from each college included acceptance rate, financial aid, graduation rate, peer web citations, retention rate, scholarly citations, student-faculty ratio and years accredited.

According to OEDb, online education opportunities are rapidly growing in number; however, there is still a lack of transparency and the need to distinguish quality online institutions from their non-legitimate counterparts. Therefore, OEDb founder Jimmy Atkinson developed a ranking system to quantitatively and objectively show which schools are the top accredited online colleges.
