VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - With a focus on leadership research as it relates to Latin America, Dr. Sergio Matviuk, doctoral program director and assistant professor in Regent University's School of Global Leadership & Entrepreneurship (GLE) presented his research at the Latin American Council of Administration Schools (CLADEA) Conference in Puebla, Mexico in October.
Speaking to participants from some of the most prestigious business administration schools in Latin America, Matviuk presented the findings of his comparative study of leadership behaviors and expectations between Mexican and Colombian organizational leaders.
"My objective in participating and presenting at the CLADEA Conference was to encourage the leadership research agenda, because leadership studies is an emerging field in Latin America and needs the input and experience of scholars that are actually conducting theoretical and empirical leadership research in the region," said Matviuk.
According to Matviuk, GLE has the experience and background to lead and model this type of research in Latin America. Furthermore, he plans to continue promoting a leadership research agenda and establishing a leadership research team with a group of Latin American scholars at future CLADEA Conferences.
