Course Requirements:
Master of Business Administration — Pre-Fall 2014

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a general business management degree designed for today's professional who operates in a global and rapidly changing environment. The degree offers the following concentrations to address strategic opportunities produced by a global economy, as well as entrepreneurial approaches to solving problems and capitalizing on new business ventures.

Designed for both full-time and part-time professionals, the MBA program [prior to Fall 2014] consists of fifteen 3-credit-hour courses for a total of 45 credit hours. Students complete 30 hours of core courses and 15 hours of concentration courses. Students with professional experience may waive 3 credit hours in some concentrations with the approval of the faculty advisor. The maximum time allowed to complete the MBA is five years. An academic year is comprised of three semesters: fall, spring and summer. Each semester is approximately 14 weeks in length.

Course Requirements

  • Students pursuing the MBA must complete a total of 45 credit hours of coursework.
  • Eight concentrations provide students with the maximum opportunity to gain expertise in an area of their choice. If the available concentration choices do not meet student needs, then a concentration of individual electives can be created in consultation with the student's faculty advisor.
  • A 0-credit on-campus residency is optional for all MBA students, but is a tremendous opportunity for networking, attending major-speaker events and being invited to present papers at future events.
