Welcome to the fifth day of our Annual Virtual Conference on Moral Leadership. This year, our focus is on the Ten Commandments and Organizational Leadership. Please join MaryJo Burchard and Dr. Bobby Hill for video presentations on the impact of the 6th and 7th Commandments on Organizational Leadership.
MaryJo Burchard is the Assistant Director for the School of Education Graduate Admissions, at the Visalia Campus of Fresno Pacific University, where she is also an adjunct professor in organizational leadership. MaryJo has been serving in ecclesial leadership for over 20 years, and for the past 11 years she has been on the pastoral team of The Oasis Foursquare Church in Hanford, CA, where her husband, Kenny, is the founding/teaching pastor. MaryJo holds an M.A. in Leadership and Organizational Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Conflict Management in the Workplace from Fresno Pacific University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Ecclesial Leadership at Regent University. Areas of research interest include: personal and organizational ethics, moral leadership, inter-generational discipleship, wholeness/health in ecclesial leadership, and the development and validation of new measures and constructs specifically designed for leaders and organizations in the ecclesial context.
Dr. Bobby Hill has 37 years of leadership experience in church planting, pastoral ministry and leadership development. In addition to leading Regent's Center for Christian Thought & Action, he serves as the international director for Vanguard Ministry, a worldwide network of ministry leaders. His passion for leadership development has resulted in global initiatives and ministry in more than 30 countries with broad recognition as a conference speaker and trainer. Hill has consulted with church and nonprofit clients as a senior consultant with The Hill Consulting Group providing strategic and practical solutions to improve their spiritual and organizational health. He serves as a mentor and coach for many leading pastors and ministry leaders. Hill received an M.A. in Practical Theology from Regent University and a doctorate in organizational leadership with a concentration in nonprofit management from Nova Southeastern University. Organizational and personal performance, servant leadership, church planting movements, leadership development and visionary leadership are among his areas of research. Hill and his wife, Carrie, reside in Suffolk, Va., and have two married sons and four grandchildren.
